Completed: 2010
Location: Katy, TX
Architect: HBL Architects, Inc.
Client: City of Katy
This full service municipal court building delivered by our design-build team incorporated the wants and desires of our client; while maintaining the City of Katy budgetary concerns. It was built under our fast track construction model. This steel and masonry building was designed to accentuate the lofted trussed entry and match the architecture of the nearby Police Station and City Library. Site Utilities include rerouting existing utilities and the installation of storm water/sanitary sewer/site water.
Incorporated into this project were custom cabinetry, bullet resistant walls/doors/service windows, Judges bench and courtroom, non-reflective/glare lighting, and a natural gas electrical generation as a backup.
