This project consists of three new pre-engineered metal buildings and the demolition of one existing metal building. The first building houses the offices of the transportation staff and the maintenance shop area. The second building is the fueling facility that contains diesel and gas pumps along with the fuel tanks. The third building contains the automatic bus wash/rinse system. Once the buildings were completed, the existing facility was demolished, making way for added concrete parking.
This project utilizes the latest in fueling technology; a 12,000 gallon diesel fuel tank and a new 6,000 gallon gasoline tank, with a new computerized fueling, detection and security system. The maintenance shop will incorporate new lubrication systems, complete with hose reel racks, oil storage tanks and a compressed air system. There will be security cameras, card access and an intrusion detection system. In addition to the bus wash system, there will be a dew rinse at the exit gate. All structures will withstand 120 mph winds and be windstorm certified.
